South Florida deserves the #1 ranking. They have played a better schedule. Ohio St has beaten the likes of Akron, Kent, and Youngstown St. They are the state champs, so they deserve to be #1 in the nation.


What a farse... Come on NCAA, lets get it together. Be Fair. I would even be happy if BC got the new #1, at least they have played a tougher schedule this year. The Big 10 is having a down year.


And remember people Wisconsin and Notre Dame are my two favorite schools with 'Zona a close third in college football.

Sorry BF...I'm a huge USF supporter and I have to disagree with you on this one. Look at Ohio State - they have maybe the best defense in the nation. They've given up 14 points once and double digits in ZERO other games. I have USF #2, and I think Boston College is vastly overrated, but Ohio State is definitely #1 at this point...we'll see if they can survive at Penn State next week though.

Big Ten is not very good this year. And "The Ohio State" really hasnt beaten anybody all that impressive yet. But the Big East is not as good as the experts thought it was going to be either. Still feel that USF is getting the short end of the stick.

NCAA just wants a big name school to be in the hunt so the casual fan recognizes a team, and that helps the ratings each in turn gives the NCAA more $$$$$... I am not a USF fan, but I hope they continue their run, just like Rutgers and Boise St. did last year. It makes it so much more fun.

true.. good point. I just wish the NCAA wasn't so political though. I think it hurts their imagine that much more. That is all I was trying to state.

I know, just that it seems like in the past both in football and basketball, voters always seem to ding teams when the conference is having a down year.

I would rank my Top 5:
1. Ohio State - I just think their defense is so good they would shut down anyone
2. South Florida - vastly underrated
3. Boston College - overrated, but they're still undefeated and IMO better than Arizona State
4. LSU - I don't care if they lost an SEC road game...IMO they're the most talented team in the country still
5. Oklahoma - Dominated most of their wins...fluke loss to Colorado, but this is a damn good team

I have the same 5, just flip-flop your first 2 for mine. I like to mention that I like Ohio St. better than USF. I just think they deserve it more the OSU.
