Donaghy to share info about other refs with feds

ESPN - Donaghy to share info about other refs with feds - NBA

Former NBA official Tim Donaghy will reportedly give federal prosecutors information that will implicate other referees in some forms of gambling activity as part of his cooperation with government officials.

The offenses might not include any criminal activity, but could draw the ire of NBA commissioner David Stern, who has insisted the Donaghy situation was that of a "rogue, isolated criminal."

A report on 1050 ESPN Radio in New York said Donaghy will give prosecutors as many as 20 names of other NBA officials and will detail their involvement in some form of gambling activity. The specifics of the gambling allegations are reportedly believed to include betting in casinos.

    mwahahahaha

Just when the KG deal came and people were talking about something in the NBA other than this...David Stern's worst nightmare. So much for the "rogue, isolated criminal" - this is huge.

i have no problem with refs gambling in casinos, as long as its poker/blackjack/slots, that kind of shit. If they were gambling on sports? thats a bigger problem. if they bet on basketball? hang em high.

Seriously time for a new NBA commissioner. The association has been shit with David Stern ever since the late 90s. Dude's constantly trying to change stuff, players getting T's too quickly, changing of the ball and then changing back, enforcement of a dress code, no more physical play, no taunting, players getting soft, no more finger waving, putting the NBA on freakin ABC, and now we got refs gambling. Great. Get David Stern outta there!
