But Brandon Wright can actually play the 4, unlike Marvin Williams.

Who plays point for the hawks? Tyronn Lue? .....they should take Law IV with one of their other picks. Wright would be great for them too, cause ya know, they lack forwards that need years of development and all.

The rumor is that Atlanta, spurned by passing on Chris Paul and DEron Williams, is taking Mike Conley at 3

Maybe a reach, but they're not going anywhere with Tyronn Jew and Joe Johnson running the show. They'll still take another forward to join Marvin Williams, Josh Smith, Shelden Williams, Josh Childress, and ...does Solomon Jones count for anything? Probably not.

    That's a weird team.

Why should the Hawks burn the #3 pick on Conley when there's a chance he could fall to their second pick at #11? Minnesota is the only team from #6-10 that needs a point guard and the T-Wolves may decide they'd rather have Roy Hibbert.

Eh, I think I would rather take the BPA at 3 which would be Horford/Wright and then at 11 either take Crittenton or trade up for Conley. Knowing Billy Knight, he will do neither of the above and take Corey Brewer at 3..

The lottery system is a sham when the team with the 5.5% chance of winning the top pick does indeed win it. It almost defies normal mathematics.

Because they've ****ed up big twice and don't want the chance to go for the hat trick pretty much

How can you say ATL does not need a PG? Still in love with Lue from his laker days, mofo? Maybe Joe Johnson has his moments as a point, but he's ultimately better if he has a good point running beside him. I'm not saying they should take Conley at 3, but to say they don't need a PG is pretty much the same thinking Billy Knight has gone with in the past years.

Hibbert wouldn't be a good pick for Minnesota, but it doesn't matter since he pulled his name. Someone is going to reach on the white guy out of Washington, Hawes.. Chris Mihm on the re-run

First of all, direct me to where I actually said Atlanta does not need a point guard. I said there's a good chance that Conley could be available at Atlanta's second pick, the 11th overall.

I think the Atlanta Hawks ought to reverse their past mistake by trading the #3 overall pick this time for Pau Gasol. That way, Billy Knight can repeat his best trade.
