Blockbuster deal at the NBA Trade Deadline!

The Portland Trail Blazers and Raptors have agreed in principle on a trade sending Juan Dixon to Toronto for Fred Jones in a swap of backup guards, ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher reported.

Dixon, 28, in his fifth NBA season, is averaging 8.9 points per game for the Blazers. Jones, also in his fifth year, is averaging 7.6 points.

"He's excited," Beverly Jones, Fred's mother, told The Oregonian of Portland on Thursday about her son returning to his home state. "And it makes me happy he is coming home."

Both players have seen little of the court of late. Jones, in the first year of a three-year, $9.9 million deal with the Raptors, recently missed eight games with a dislocated finger on his right hand. Dixon did not play Tuesday against the Lakers and played eight minutes on Tuesday against Utah.

    What a mega-move!

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I don't care if it's Kobe for Shaq, basketball annoys me.

What's bad is that they have to get a quote from the guy's mom for the deal.
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
    Ted
: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
    Barney: Circle gets the square!

This was another blockbuster, I mean, blockheaded move.
“We’re happy to be able to bring Anthony Johnson back to Atlanta,” Knight said. “He provides us with another veteran presence, and brings a great deal of regular season and postseason experience to our club.”
Congrats, Billy Knight, for depriving your team of its high second and final draft pick for some "postseason experience" that means squat for the Atlanta Hawks.

And the Hawks may not have any draft picks next year. That great franchise the Atlanta Hawks.

So far it has been a zzz-fest. It's not fun anymore.
