Saddest news I've heard this year, and probably the saddest news I've heard in a loooong while. It wa s literally a joy to watch him play the game.

Since I didn't really come from a hockey family (in terms of having a dad or a grandpa tell you how to play the game based off of experience), I learned from my older brother. He told me if I wanted to learn how to play the game the right way, just to watch Yzerman and Francis. Yzerman wasn't only a world-class athlete but he was a great person. And one of the first players nearly every fan thinks of when someone mentions 'NHL Captain.' Showing dedication, talent and just an honest love for hockey, he'll be a hard player to forget.
