Think Farmar was a reach for the Lakers?

Farmar wasn't at all a reach. A very nice pick and a great fit for them, since Smush Parker sucks and Sasha Vujacic really shouldn't be playing much either.

I was just wondering since some analysts projected him to be a 2nd round selection.

We're to the point where the players are all sort of lumped together, save one or two. If it was a reach, it wasn't much of one.

He doesn't have to move very far.

Practically a few miles away. Lucky guy being drafted by his hometown team.

All I have to say is the Portland Trade Blazers ruined the whole draft, I have never seen a team make so many questionable moves in my life. Almost as if they were trading just for the hell of it.
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett

Farmar is gonna start from day one. Would be nice if he had an outside shot though.

He won't need an outside shot with Kobe and Odom.

    and maybe Mihm.

and very unlikely but possibly Brown.

They just need someone competent to distribute (see: not Smush Parker).

I'm just saying, when Kobe is forcing double teams, and no one else on the team is an above average 3 point shooter, that it would help the team a lot more if Farmar could bury a few 3's.

At this point Kwame Brown is more valuable to the Lakers than Chris Mihm.
