Okay. now that I got my teeth back in..
With the possibility of a bunch of sub-.500 teams making the playoffs in the NBA, should the playoffs be decreased a bit?

I think it has to do more with the crappiness of the lower tier of the Eastern Conference. Personally, the best 16 teams regardless should be in the playoffs. forget Eastern and Western conference. Maybe it will bring some spice to the playoff picture. Philly, Chicago and Washington are teams that should be playoff caliber right now and get the shot to be shot down by the Pistons if you went by my theory then...
1. Detroit
2. San Antonio
3. Dallas
4. Phoenix
5. Miami
6. New Jersey
7. Cleveland
8. Memphis
9. LA Clippers
10. Denver
11. LA Lakers
12. Sacrmento
13. Utah
14. Washington
15. Milwaukee
16. Indiana
Still will have teams one game under .500 but it would be better than Philly getting in.

I don't mind that idea. I just dont want teams 15 games below .500 making it in.
