    Around the Horn (4/14)

The Boys Are Back In Town! Welcome to an all-new, jam-packed edition of post-Opening Day Around the Horn! Later tonight, probably at 8-9 PM, depending on the end of the advanced underwater basketweaving competition, we will conduct another episode of competitive banter.

If you are interested, please drop a PM. Thanks, and enjoy the show.

Around the Horn has been delayed until tomorrow evening due to an emergency switch: ESPN will show Braves-Phillies now, instead of Around the Horn.

Sorry for the inconveniece, viewers. We'll see you tomorrow...HORN!

Should be an exciting time tonight. I'm going to school all the little girls here and teach them something about sports.

I'm right about everything, and even when I'm wrong, I'm right.

[Mute] Right, GoYanks. Whatever you say.

First up..LeBron James, playing the Pistons, circa Wednesday, gets injured in the 31st minute while down by 21. Should BronBron have been in there at the time? Around the Horn to Dry.

I can't see a good reason to play him in that situation. With a team as good as Detroit it's not like they had any hope of a comeback. And he isn't the reason they sellout there either. It comes to a point where Cleveland needs to play rookies/backups and lick their wounds. This close to the playoffs should be tuneups for teams already in. I could understand if they're fighting for something, but they're not. After all, LeBron is their team and losing him is monumental to their playoff chances. 31 minutes is plenty of time, they didn't need to get him work, and this will only be a deep bruise on the Cleveland organization, especially if his missed time is significant.

Keep in mind he did not play last night vs. the Knicks.

LeBron could break his leg rolling out of bed and be done for the season. Injuries happen all the time, you cant put players in plastic bubbles when they arent playing basketball to protect them.

LeBron is the Cavs that is true but thats about all that I agree with Dave with on this. You dont think they are playing for anything right now youre wrong. Right now the Cavs are in 4th place, if you play that out with all the higher seeds winning they would play these exact Detroit Pistons in the second round. You give the starters a chance to play and see if you cant get something out fo this game that is positive. Youve stunk the joint up might as well try and make some good out of the time on the court.

Most NBA people say that you give the starters 3 quarters even if its a blow out. Plus I believe Detroit still had its starters in the game. Give yourself as much film to study in case this is your matchup in rd 2.
