Thanks NFL for sticking the Bengals with...

the toughest schedule in the NFL in 2006, especially considering Carson Palmer might not be ready for the opener.

The Bengals are tied with the Giants for the toughest schedule in the league.

I guess the Bengals should have stuck with being a garbage team.

And then 9-10 of those teams end up being below .500 and the complaining ceases!

Well, the latter is a stretch.

I understand your anger with the NFL scheduling people, but you have to understand. (I root for the Bengals and Seahawks...last year was a good one)

    1. They've had ONE winning season. They're not the Patriots.

    2. Carson Palmer tore his ACL. If you're the NFL do you think that most of America is going to tune it to watch the Doug Johnson/Craig Krenzel led Bengals on Monday Night?

If the Bengals can make the playoffs this year then I'm confident we'll see them on MNF more often. I was ticked as well but after looking at it, I understood.

Yeah, and what if Palmer is ready by week 1, which is what he is telling people? I think the whole NFL schedule should be flexible.

That would suck for most football and ticketing operations. That would never happen.

He hasn't 'guaranteed' anything. I've read Bengals.com and all the ESPN Local site lines that I can get my hands on, but the fact is your argument lies on the 'what if' premise.

'What if' Lewis Billups catches a sure fire INT for a TD in the last SB against the Niners? What if Paul Brown hired the right coach (Bill Walsh) instead of the wrong coach (Bill Johnson).

The fact is, the Bengals (and I'm a fan) have had one winning season in the past who knows how long. I'll be a fan forever and have purchased Directv to watch my Bengals/Seahawks (Double the reason to hate the Steelers) but it's hard to argue the primetime games.

The one thing that bothers me is that the Raiders continually get Monday night games and they suck.

    That ticks me off.

Monday night is stupid. They pick stupid matchups and then ***** b/c no one watches. If they want good matchups, stick with division rivals. More times than not you will get a better game IMO.
