I'll stick with High Heat '03 and OOTP 6.5. I love the ability to have more options, but it's time consuming and hard to get used to.

I've tried newer versions of OOTP and it was just too much, at least for an online league.

The license is cool, though. I'm considering picking the XBone over PS4 this spring, and I'll need a replacement if I can't play The Show.

Have you liked The Show the last couple years? I find myself straying back to The Mauer versions, because of the batting changes.

13 was OK. Nothing spectacular. Don't remember any big changes in batting. Though that was a while ago.

I've only played one game of 14 so I didn't get a chance to really mess around with it.

I wish they would spend more time on developing the game modes. Graphics can only get you so far. Personally, I'd like to see them overhaul the RTTS mode. Franchise is basically useless for how unrealistic it is. And who has ever honestly played and enjoyed that Diamond Dynasty? Oh, and make controlling the base paths easier. If I had a dollar for every time I wasted a sac fly because I couldn't remember how to move one runner instead of all of them.

Between Madden and The Show they don't really seem to care as much as I do about franchise mode.

The latest in Madden seems to focus more on the ownership side. I don't give a shit about hot dog sales.

Road To The Show and Connected Career - Player are more than enough to keep me entertained. Franchise mode was fun when I had a bunch of people at the house daily and we could play 4 on 1, but now, it's just not fun. (Maybe it would be if they improved it, I suppose.)

I was very disappointed when my roommate picked up the latest Madden and we couldn't do the two player franchise without being a player/coach/owner. I don't want to only control one player. I don't want to "coach" the way they have it set up. And like you, I don't want to set hot dog prices.

With the Show prospects are meaningless. You can make any trade happen. Player progression/regression doesn't make sense. Free agency doesn't work like it should. Sony should take a real hard look at OOTP.
