Hot Seat continuity? Your thoughts.

Where do you guys think lies the future of the Hot Seat? Should we continue on? We're at 32 Hot Seats now, and my feeling is that interest level has dropped significantly, given the participation level of recent Hot Seats and given the quality of questions being asked.

Also, you can say that a bunch of people have a sour taste in their mouth from the run of Reds fans that lasted several months.

And when the Hot Seat first started, there was a certain novelty to it; many people wanted a chance to be on the Hot Seat, but now that almost everyone (that matters) has had a turn, it's gotten to the point where it's "Hot Seat? ehhhh..." for a few. At least, that's what I feel.

I meant to get some questions into reefer, but I missed out as I forgot about it while spending time with the family, who was visiting after we pulled in. (back from deployment now, btw)

Speaking of which, I participated when I could from the ship, and have intended to do so more regularly now that I can.

Obviously I haven't been on that thing yet...(and am probably sealing my nomination by making that remark..)

How about we restart it, and allow people like Dave and you to be asked again?

Well.... I would be more than willing to go again.... so if that is a thought.. that is fine....

I think one problem is that the same questions are asked SO many times... 'Who is your favorite band?' 'What is your favorite burger place?' Etc.... I thik the tough questions should be encouraged.... I know I try and make the Q's I ask entertaining and requiring some good thought....

Maybe themes for the hot seat... have a couple months/hot seats with a theme like Work or a current event.. where questions about that theme are encouraged, but not all question have to be on that theme....

start a ...ask the person below you a question thread. you know, you start it off by asking.. eh.. how many times to you pee on average each day, and the next person to post answers it, and then asks a question and.. so forth or something, maybe not. forget it.

Well, the sim league non-posters like TheSummaryGuy, Netfan, MattyMo and Chesney won't do the HotSeat.

that way it's insured that we'll avoid a team dominance ala the reds and people being picked who post once every 2.5 months
