Rules for the Hot Seat

This is something we are continuing on with. One nice aspect of being a smaller forum is building a solid community and getting to know many of the forum posters and here is your chance to get know one another even better!

In The BaseballSlant Hot Seat threads, you may ask the one in the Hot Seat (in this case, Foster) up to 3 questions. The questions can be about baseball, movies, relationships, whatever.

Please keep the questions appropriate and know that the person in the Hot Seat can refuse to answer any question he or she feels uncomfortable with. You may ask questions for the next week, then the guy in The Hot Seat will answer up to three of your questions.

If you would like to have a chance to be the next one up, post that you would like to and Foster will select from the ones interested for who will go next. Or, if he opts not to choose I'll make the decision.

Timeframe involved: Just so we know how we are going to do this ... the person in the Hot Seat will be there for about one to two weeks. Questions, such as this thread, will be open for one week and then we will close the questioning so that the poster has time (up to one week) to get some answers together.

Questioning will close Sunday, June 20th. Answers will then be opened until Sunday, June 27th.

2. Which Canadian sports city most resembles Boston in that its fans have a smug sense of entitlement that, in my opinion, is undeserving considering the region is not known for churning out world class athletes to the pros?

1. Give me a team that realistically has a chance to prevent the Yankees from winning the World Series and why. I don't care if it's the NL team that beats them in the series or an AL team that beats them in the playoffs.

2. Who's your favorite current NASCAR driver? And do you think the veterans like Kylie Bush, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, etc. should be allowed to continue to be full timers in the Nationwide series?

3. Have you considered a more challenging weekly version of NABSAR as opposed to first come first serve pick the winner? Let's be honest, it's usually the same 5-8 drivers always in contention and rarely do we pick outside of those drivers.

My focus on thinking up of good ones has pretty much faded, seeing how most questions tend to fall into these categories:
1. pro sports (don't care anymore for other fans' perspectives of their own team)
2. life/relationships (uh, no)
3. movies, TV, games (I like only a select few and you have to really be ****ing obsessed with it as much as I do, otherwise I'm just a condescending prick)
4. the completely random ones that DK asks (which I think are greater questions than most answers will do justice, plus they're not what I would consider dying to know)
