    Hot Seat #71 - Hammer

    Rules for the Hot Seat

This is something we are continuing on with. One nice aspect of being a smaller forum is building a solid community and getting to know many of the forum posters and here is your chance to get know one another even better!

    In The
Strike3Forums Hot Seat threads, you may ask the one in the Hot Seat (in this case, Hammer) up to 3 questions. The questions can be about baseball, movies, relationships, whatever.

Please keep the questions appropriate and know that the person in the Hot Seat can refuse to answer any question he or she feels uncomfortable with. You may ask questions for the next week, then the guy in The Hot Seat will answer up to three of your questions.

If you would like to have a chance to be the next one up, post that you would like to and Hammer
will select from the ones interested for who will go next. Or, he'll just select whoever the heck he wants.

Timeframe involved: Just so we know how we are going to do this ... the person in the Hot Seat will be there for about one to two weeks. Questions, such as this thread, will be open for one week and then we will close the questioning so that the poster has time (up to one week) to get some answers together.

Questioning will close Wednesday, March 4th. Answers will then be opened until Wednesday, March 11th.

    1) Use the following words in a couple of sentences about yourself: Frustrated, choosing, travel, enemy, and coincidence
    2) The biggest thing you regularly do that is really bad for you, is what?
    3) Given the choice between things that could be given to you for free including a new computer, pairs of tickets to 13 baseball games, a class/certification that has a chance of improving your career, $1000 worth of vehicle maintenance, and a wild night on the town in a limo, which do you choose and why?

    1. What sim league team do you most want to win a World Series with?
    2. What are your top 5 movies of all time?
    3. If the entire world was gone except for you and one person, who you would choose to be there?
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Who is your favorite OOTP player in S3SL from your team, all-time? My team, all-time? League, all-time? Current, league?

What would you say is the best part of living in Queens? Worst? Most frustrating?

If you could move to any place in the United States, all moving charges covered, and your first year's rent was paid for, where would you move and why? North America? Europe (Amsterdam lololololol)? World-wide?

Re: Hot Seat #71 - Hammer

    prov:
    1. tpsl version 2... it lasted longer and i didnt **** that one up

    2.
    a. reefer smokes a special wooey... weed and roids straight from barry bonds... and pff gets high off contact, making him an easy target
    b. prov stuns them both and counts the 3 and announces himself the winner... then proceeds to drink beer in the ring
    c. they both get absolutely tanked before the match, and right after the bell rings, they fall out backwards and get counted out
    d. koz walks away and feeds his manager to the two canadians for a hart attack, bret and anvil style
    e. i have nothing witty for this match at all, so ill just go ahead and assume the match gets booed out of the building and a billion pounds of oranges come flying out of the stands crushing all 4
    f. i fail a pre match drug test and get fired, giving o's magic the win through forfeit
    g. an hour long battle with all combatants bloodied and destroyed, mckain and saber run out and destroy all 3 and officially take over the s3wf

i booked that exactly like wwf would too, complete with only one match having an actual winner... im awesome like that.

    3. the job in general is pretty funny, as everything is ran pretty much ass backwards... ive had a few great days, like the time i got stuck behind the train inside the dump, and had to sit there 4 hours before the train finally moved, which ironically got me back to my job about a half hour before sign out. ive also gotten tanked in a bar with my boy one time, we finished our route in about a half hour, then sat in the bar watching the opening day of basketball and i came back absolutely smashed and started arguing with the supervisor because he wanted us to go back out and pick up a few dropoffs. thankfully i didnt get fired then... though i think its coming soon anyway due to another idiotic mistake, partially mentioned in the above answer. its 50/50 at this point i think.

    1) a. im regularly frustrated the second i wake up to go to work, though the job itself is pretty cool when i get there
    b. im terrible at choosing the correct path in life... i always seem to make the wrong decision... go me.
    c. rarely ever travel, went to florida twice and thats about it, but the furthest place i like to go is my couch for vacation
    d. dont really have an enemy, get along with most people and the only time i fight is when im bombed, and really dont remember it the next day anyway
    e. i cant really think of anything for coincidence, sorry.

    2. i drink a ton of liquor most days... gonna try to quit for a while, but i might change that in a minute anyway

    3. go with the wild night in the limo. i can outspend the $1000 bucks for car fixtures, the 13 tickets (unless its to the new yankee stadium i suppose, way to overprice hank) and the computer. might need a new job in a week or so, but since i wont have one then i cant improve upon nothing.

    cjkalt:
    1. bjd, kalt, porter, shorty, shorts, mntwinsfan... honestly, first 4 are a toss up, because ootp is more or less 50/50 good gming, and complete luck... so anything can happen. i dont honestly know who bcshorts is (no offense sir), and then mntwinsfan will come oh so close, and inexplicably decide to rebuild at the deadline.

    2. mlbtraderumors... most of their shit is based on nothing but some guy getting a decent idea. at least cbssportsline has a real scoop now and again... i guess.

    3. i dont see anything bad with your bracket... of course im gonna have disagreements, but i dont think youre any worse than any of the so called experts being paid to do this. definitely middle of the pack, if not top 25. i dont see you on last years rankings, which makes it a bit tougher to call... but if you nail marquette and illinois, and the mid major conference winners, you could be in nice shape. intrigued you left tamu out though.

    porter:
    1. pedroia... a good inside fastball is the toughest pitch to hit in the game, but a mediocre one pedroia jacks as well as anybody else. the problem is hes a midget, and hes succeptable to it... but its not like it makes him a bum.

    2.
Two-Way Player -- zito... plays defense, sets up conversation and can answer
Sniper -- reefer... relentless, always makes his point known even if everyone disagrees
Playmaker -- mission... makes everything go
Enforcer -- not really sure... i guess id double on reefer again, if he agrees with somebody being reamed out, he'll go into battle for them
Sean Avery -- saber... a drunk who likes to fight/be argumentative

    3. jason smith of baylor... not a bad player, but now hes getting hype as the number 1 pick... meh. not that i think matt stafford is the consensus number 1 and a bar none definite pro bowler, but i think its a safer pick to live up to number 1.

    ff:
1.)Who is the best prospect in this NFL draft? safest pick: aaron curry... but when we look back on this draft in 5 years, andre smith will be a 3 or 4 time pro bowler, ill go with him.

2.)Who is your early pick for the #1 pick in '10? i like terrance cody and gerald mccoy alot, but dont like dts as the number 1 pick. eric berry is a monster, but i think the safe bet is sam bradford as the number 1 pick. i like stafford a bit more personally though. id probably go with berry as the #1 talent right now though.

3.)What are your best 10 music CD's? illmatic, ready to die, 36 chambers, revolutionary vol 1, life after death, stillmatic, brick: bodega chronicles, power of the dollar, its dark and hell is hot, revolutionary vol 2

    btown:
    1. What sim league team do you most want to win a World Series with? dont really have a preference, i just enjoy winning. i guess the yankees would mean alot, considering how long its gone on though... and how overturned every roster has been.

    2. What are your top 5 movies of all time? godfather 1, friday, heat, goodfellas, casino... the latter 3 being interchangeable, depending on which one ive seen last

    3. If the entire world was gone except for you and one person, who you would choose to be there? briana banks... if theres nothing else around, i want a proven freak.

    general:
Who is your favorite OOTP player in S3SL from your team, all-time? My team, all-time? League, all-time? Current, league?
yankees -- sam rodriguez probably, mccullough and faria didnt have a long enough stay, mainly because faria got hurt and took a huge talent hit. rodriguez was a long term yankee, and was my ace alot of those years til mccullough came around.

red sox -- vlad, it was always fun to argue cuevas vs vlad.

league -- sammy rod... what can i say, i love me some me.

current -- it was john pack til his recent decline, id probably go with rolland michel though. what a blunder by me.

What would you say is the best part of living in Queens? Worst? Most frustrating?
2a. the best part of queens is the copious amounts of liquor stores and pizza places in the area that allow me to survive through life

2b and 2c are the same answer... the non copious amounts of women, at least in my neighborhood... its not all of queens, but the surrounding areas... forest hills, ridgewood, glendale... are much more bountiful than maspeth.

If you could move to any place in the United States, all moving charges covered, and your first year's rent was paid for, where would you move and why? North America? Europe (Amsterdam lololololol)? World-wide?

    3. see the first year rent thing kinda tosses me a bit, because id still eventually have to get a job then. id probably go to san diego or miami in the us... depends on the cost of living i guess, puerto rico in north america (does that count)... amsterdam is a nice bet for europe, and probably jamaica world wide. jamaica combines the weather and women of san diego/miami and puerto rico, and the bud of amsterdam. hard to argue.

    foster:
    1. i must admit, i dont really pay attention to future politics like i do future nfl or nba drafts... because of course we all know, the future of the us is far less important than the future of the nfl or nba... so i really cant call it.

    2. well, the combination of arod and roids made for an extremely EXTREMELY boring story. as if anyone was actually shocked anyway. although last year with him and madonna was pretty much even more sickening and boring and worthless.

im pretty boring on favorite stories... i like watching rookies and prospects try to win spots on teams... especially lesser known spects and rookies, not neccessarily your david prices and jay bruces and matt weiters', although i have no problems with that either.

    3. i absolutely ****ing wish... ive never been outright envious of anyone in my life, til i seen that man. actually that second part is a lie, but that dude is downright awesome.

    1. Does Nick cross dress? I mean, he seems like the type that puts on some skin tight skirt and takes a trip downtown. Would he be a brunette or blond?

    2. Which slays you the most to this day: me killing you in the S3SL world series or you dealing me Villegas and Davila.

    3. David Lee and Gallinari for OJ Mayo, Hakim Warrick, and a top 2 protected 1st rounder (i.e. knicks get it if its 3 or lower), discuss.

    1. i think he gets freaky from time to time. id take a guess at blonde.

    2. dealing you davila hurts the most... that was my only world series appearance in s3sl i think so im cool with that, and villegas was gonna walk away anyway so that dont hurt. davila hurts the most, jason bay can suck it.

    3. gonna have to go no... which was my immediate response when i first saw dave and danilo in the same deal, although less loud now. oj mayo is a beast, but the guy id want at 3... is james harden... a little conflict of interest there, plus willie chandler is coming around nicely, giving us 3 shooting guards with similar skill sets, although oj is further along obviously. other than griffin and harden, not really in love with many guys in this draft... even a guy i really like in dejuan blair, is too mike sweetney for me.

and quite frankly, the only way i let dave go is under 2 circumstances.... 1. a guarantee we get lebron, which of course is a huge question mark... and 2. jared jeffries, eddy curry, or both have to also go in the deal.

Re: Hot Seat #71 - Hammer

i think id have to pull the trigger on that one, if jeffries goes in the deal. jeffries, lee and danilo for mayo, warrick and griffin... dave is my favorite player in the league, but he has his limitations, especially on defense. griffin is shawn kemp without 46 kids, warrick is a nice body off the bench and mayo is gonna be a premier scorer. mayo and griffin next to lebron.... i think we got something there.

mayo, chandler, warrick, griffin and lebron for the 2010 season... with some cap space to re-sign nate or bring in maybe a tyson chandler or somebody lesser like that. i think im selling danilo low however, i think hes gonna be a real nice player... not as good as oj mayo though. but really good.
