    -San Diego Padres
    -St. Louis Rams
    -Pittsburgh Pirates
    -Kansas City Chiefs
    -Baltimore Orioles
    -Other

    2) Name, in your opinion, the biggest sports rivalry, and explain why.

    3) How has being in the military changed your overall outlook on life?
    1. Probably the Orioles. With the history they have in the league, and Cal's legacy, and playing at Camden Yards. I thought it would always be cool to play in such a historical place, so I guess being a GM there would suffice too I suppose.
    2. This is a tough one. Quick response would be Red Sox/Yankees. Obvious. Or you could go with Ohio State/Michigan. Or even any in-state rivalry. How about my high school and the neighboring town? I guess it depends really. But as far as history goes, I'll say Boston and New York.
    3. This one might take me a while to answer...Being in the military has done a lot for me. When I came in, I thought I was pretty mature, and would be able to handle things. When I got done with basic training and the SF academy, I had a much greater appreciation of everything. Sometimes you take living near your friends and family for granted, and when I joined, you realized how much different it is. When I was deployed to Iraq in '06, that was something else. If you want to go to a place where you have no amenities, a place where you can learn to appreciate things you have here, I suggest you go to the desert. We had 6 phones for a base of 5k, computers that were always broken, food you got sick of the 2nd month there. We had to walk everywhere...to the gym, the MWR, the DFAC, the PX, even to work sometimes. When I came back, it was so weird. Having a cell phone, a car, Wal Mart. I was so grateful to actually know what it's like not to have anything like that over there, so I'm able to appreciate what I have now.
I may say that I hate what I do sometimes, or wish I would have just gone to college instead. But at the end of the day, when I see my uniform hanging up, I just think to myself that if I had the chance to go back in time...I wouldn't change a dang thing. The things I've done, the friends I've made, the experiences I've had....you can't replace it. I appreciate everything I have today, because who knows, it might be gone tomorrow.

    Adrian Peterson abruptly retires.
Joe Mauer is dealt to the yankees.

Johan Santana returns as Omar Minaya completely falls off his rocker, if he hasn't already, and deals him back to Minnesota for Michael Cuddyer, Mike Redmond, and Jesse Crain- thinking Crain solves the closer problem. Missionhockey21 being rich funds this adventure by paying Santana himself.
    1. It's hard for me to pick someone over Joe Mauer, for obvious reasons. But I do miss Johan, Torii was really good...yeah I guess I'm a homer on this one.
    2. At first I was a bit disappointed, but I can see why Smith made that trade. They open a new stadium in 2010, and wants a competitive team on the field when they do so. Hoping Johan and Torii stay healthy (and Pohlad opens his wallet) they might have been able to do that, but since the crusty old fogey and his family pinch every penny, Smith did what he thought was best for the organization. Gomez has the raw talent and potential to be an All-Star. If Humber develops nicely, I guess I would say I'm happy with it. It would have been nice for them to get a MLB ready SS or 3B, as Lamb or Everett didn't do squat for us last year.

    Either you can:

    b) deal with the embarassment of exposing yourself to the dudes and jokes about your pecker.
    Which do you choose?

    3. Who is the coolest superhero ever?
    1. I've got a few actually....first one is when i was riding along with my girlfriend (at the time) and her dad and i got my sled stuck. embarassing. another time i was with them and she was riding on the sled with me, i hit a huge bump and she fell off. i kept going (only for a few feet though). another time i was jumping snowbanks next to the drive way and i was standing on the bumper trying to get as much air as possible. as soon as i hit it my feet slipped off and i landed flat on my back, had to get up and chase after it as it kept going down the driveway...ahh good times.

    2. It's part of my last name, actually. My high school baseball coach called me that and it's just kinda stuck.
