    Hot Seat #42 - Element

    Rules for the Hot Seat

This is something we are continuing on with. One nice aspect of being a smaller forum is building a solid community and getting to know many of the forum posters and here is your chance to get know one another even better!

In The Strike 3 Forums Hot Seat threads, you may ask the one in the Hot Seat (in this case, Element) up to 3 questions. The questions can be about baseball, movies, relationships, whatever.

Please keep the questions appropriate and know that the person in the Hot Seat can refuse to answer any question he or she feels uncomfortable with. You may ask questions for the next week, then the guy in The Hot Seat will answer up to three of your questions.

If you would like to have a chance to be the next one up, post that you would like to and Element will select from the ones interested for who will go next. Or, he'll just select whoever the heck he wants.

Timeframe involved: Just so we know how we are going to do this ... the person in the Hot Seat will be there for about two weeks. Questions, such as this thread, will be open for one week and then we will close the questioning so that the poster has time (up to one week) to get some answers together. As of now, we'll go with 2 posters a month (two weeks each). If demand for more comes up, we will address it at that time. We just don't want to shoot through everyone too quickly.

Questioning will close Friday, September 22nd. Answers will then be opened until Friday, September 29th.

    1) How much will the drop in the price of gas put back in your pocket each month, if it goes down to the assumed $2.20 a gallon by Thanksgiving?
    2) 10 words to discribe Rosie O'Donnell
    3) If you were a beverage... what beverage would you be, who would be most likely to buy you, and what would be your beverage demise (how would you be emptied)??

I would like to throw my name out there as well.

    1. Corny question being, what's your favorite element from the Captain Planet cartoon?

    2. Who's the bigger mistake, Adrian Beltre or Richard Sexson? And did it bother you any at all to see Jamie Moyer move on?

    3. Who do you wish stayed a Mariner (and retired a Mariner) the most: Randy Johnson, Alex Rodriguez, Ken Griffey Jr. (let's pretend he never suffered a bazillion leg injuries), Freddy Garcia, or Omar Vizquel?
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
    Ted

    Element:

    A. Who, in your opinion, are the Top 10 baseball players of all-time

    B. If you had a choice, and you could take Albert Pujols (present day) or Lou Gehrig (1929) and have them on contract for the next ten years, who do you take? Assume you only know what you know about them now as people, players, publicity tools, etc. and you do not know of "future" events (such as Gehrig's illness). Likewise, you get Gehrig as a 2006 player with the 1929 ability (meaning he could play in the majors as he played in 1929).

    C. If you had 24 hours left on Earth, what would you do?

    1. Who is the best middle reliever (not closer) of all time and why, and if he belongs in the Hall.

    2. Disprove this philosophical argument:

If beer is better than nothing
And nothing is better than God
Than beer is better than God.

    3. Being a Yankees season ticket holder, I have access to 6 playoff tickets, with a max of 2 tickets per series.

Since I'm going with my father, what games should I pick in the ALDS, ALCS, and WS?

    2. Which was the most ridiculous sig request you have received (besides the Super Bowl XL-bound Jets one)?

    3. Which two teams in baseball do you dislike the most?

All "Before You Die" questions for Element:

    1) If you could watch only one more movie before you die, what would it be (and why that one over some of your other favorites)

    2) Last meal on earth. For whatever reason, you will be dead tomorrow and you know it tonight. You can have anything your heart desires for a last meal.... what would it be?

    3) You are only allowed to attend one more sporting event before you die. It could be any event, anywhere on the earth with the best seats in the house. What would you like to go see (you can even make up something as long as it's not involving dead/retired people... such as The Globetrotters vs the Sonics, which obviously would never happen)
