Both were educated guesses

A. The Chinese thing was completely unresolved, and that's easily the best bet to avoid getting discovered (if the honchos above Logan didn't want to have blood on their hands) while getting rid of the Jack Bauer problem. They said, the first 15 minutes will be intense, and the last 15 will be even more intense

B. There's no way that Jack wouldn't have killed Logan if he didn't feel Logan would be brought to justice another way. The microrecorder is the easiest way for him to do that. He pulled out all the stuff for a reason.

Agreed the Chinese thing was predictable, I mean afterall it was just his first day back, and within the 24 hour period the Chinese had plenty of time to abduct him...what I find bizarre is that there was a call from Kim inside of an abandonded warehouse when the guy has 85 differennt cell phones or ways of being contacted.......can anyone say Shanghai ??????

Just saw the weird guy that talks to Logan, wow, what an odd face, though I bet that is why they picked him for the show. Anyway, wow this is going to start getting really interesting.

I figured out where that weird guy came from.....he was that jerk off doctor on ER who talked to everyone like they were dirt and had no respect for anyone......the good news.....he was also the doctor who got his arm cut off by helicopter blades and went through this long, drawn out, dramatic recovery process. In the end, he got flattened by a helicopter that came down on him.

If you watch ER, it was the ultimate ending for a total jerk off character.........
