Thread: Oscars.

He definitely deserved it for Gladiator. Haven't seen Walk the Line yet, but he looked rock solid there too.

Walk the Line was the better movie, but Philip Seymour Hoffman was much better as Capote than Joaquin Phoenix was as Cash.

Both still kicked some major ass, though.

I thought Phoenix was better in 8MM (no, not 8 mile) than Gladiator.

Broken Saddle has only won One award so far. What do ya think. They take the last two? (Directory and Picture)?

didn't even notice you posted it.

Stewart has had his moments, though he's obviously not as funny as he is on his show and elsewhere. I guess it's easier to insult political figures than actors. At least it's not Billy Crystal; that's all I have to say.

So what you are saying is that he's missing his team of 25 writers. Gotcha.

Especially if you have a team of 25 writers helping you write those insults.

Stewart isn't really that freakin' clever. He just has the ability to deliver decent copy.

He has is team of "25 writers" with him; he wrote all of the material for the show with them.

ahh, then he's just behaving because he doesn't know the right way to make fun of Hollywood in the manner that Billy Crystal can do it with a smile and no one gets pissed.

You know how those candyass Hollywood types are.

No one gets pissed when Billy Crystal does it, and no one laughs, either.

Both screenplay awards went to what I expected.

BTW: WHat crack addict comes up with the order in which they call these awards. Why in the FuhQ do they have "best adapted screenplay" come after best actor and actress?

    You jinxed it, Lynch.

"Brokeback's only won one award!! HA!"

    Then it wins 2 more.

ass, you robbed Paul Haggis of best director!

edit: one award, not two awards, my bad
