In franchise mode there are FA but I don't recognize any of the names so I do not think it is of real players. That part is very dumb.

I wouldn't say obese, they must have fixed that. Just different for me.

I know, I was exaggerating...I just remember them being bigger than most other games.

Have you hit a walk-off homerun yet at home? If so, do the players jump around in front of home plate?

    I got it on PS2

I will get your Piazza question answered now.

I just finished a game finally (lots of interruptions). When the game is over, they show a clip of the play of the game as thebroadcasters talk about what kind of impact that play had on the game. Then they show the player of the game and give a brief description of why he earned it. Then the best part is, they show your team in the locker room after the game either cheering and dancing around if you won or hanging their heads in shame if you lossed. That whole post game stuff was incredible!

One error I found in the game is when you strike out and you walk off withyour head down or shaking no your bat comes out of your hands and just kind of floats. Its just some dumb error. I also think the outfielders run too slow.

Piazza is not on the Pads.

Have not done that yet. So far the HR graphics are not too exciting. If you really jack one, it will show a close up of your hitter as the broadcasters give their call. Fireworks are displayed if you are the home team. And the best part is that the crowd goes nuts and boos the home team pitcher if a visiting teams hits a bomb. When you cross home plate sometimes the player will do one of those 50 part hand shakes with the on deck hitter. Its pretty cool, but nothing too fancy either.

I'm pretty sure they did this on last year's version as well.

And thus far I am not sold on this game.

    Can you edit player's abilities?

Because I was just informed that the game has Shawn Estes...SHAWN ESTES...listed as the Padres #2 starter.

No love for Chris Young, and too much love for Estes.

Confirmed. MLPBA will not allow players that aren't on a MLB roster to be in the game. Best option is to wait for a roster update. There is supposed to be one every two weeks and after major transactions.
