    Rosa Parks, who helped trigger the civil rights movement in the 1950s, died Monday, her longtime friends told CNN. She was 92.

    Parks inspired the civil rights movement when she refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white man in Montgomery, Alabama, in December 1955.

    It's amazing what one act of bravery and standing up for oneself can do. Her spirit will always live on and I think it's very appropriate of the bus companies who this past week have reserved a front seat in buses in her honor.

    EXACTLY BABY,

    ms parks is what one would call an icon. but that has a different meaning here. i'm sorry that i can't express it in any other way.......but she had balls. many folks don't understand the days when people would beat the s### out of you JUST for sitting in the wrong seat. jesus waits for you rosa.
