    Can someone reccomend some good rock that is new. This Top 40 wanna be punk rock is makin' me want to pull my hair out.

    Anything from Disturbed new album is good, thats really it in terms of new that I can think of right now..

    I couldn't agree more. These bubblegum, punk faries drove me to harder music. If you can stand metal or would just like to hear actual rock musicians try,

    The Clay People: local upstate NY band, best show I've ever been to. http://www.claypeople.com/

    Arch Enemy: Chick metal singer. Still a novelty.

    In Flames: highly reccommend, most talented musicians on my list.

    cKy: lead singer/guitar only uses 4 stings on his axe. Awesome!

    Cradle of Filth: super heavy, but very talented.

    Cradle of Filth is an awesome band, they have some great stuff to listen to.

    could always go with some nevermore. Bruce Dickinson's Tyranny of Souls is very good as well. Bruce's solo stuff is better than anything he has done with Maiden in a long long time.
