I am looking for a scary video game?

I am really trying to find a scary video game, something that is lifelike though. I am not looking for stuff with monsters that are completely unreal like in Silent Hill. I am looking to find a game that will scare the crap out of me, with a great story and the ghosts look like real people. Anyone know of anything like this?

Siren is great, but ridiculously hard.
Resident Evil 4 has realistic monsters (... mainly) and is great, but the scary is a little lacking
Silent Hill 4 has "realistic" monsters and the ghosts are VERY realistic, but it's more of a psychological frighteningly game than visually
Haunting Ground is great, with only a little lack of realism, and it's frightneing as **** (mainly because you can't attack) but the story is over the top and crazy
Fatal Frame and Fatal Frame 2 are great; I figure of the games I listed, you'll like them best

    Fatal Frame 2 rocked.

The first Silent Hill is SCARY. Better than any other crap.

Ok these sound good. I went to EB today to look some games up. I talked to the guys that work there too about this. They pretty much suggested the same ones you guys have.

I looked up scary games last night and was interested in Haunting Ground but I was not too sure about it. McKain, did the ghosts look like real people?

Also fatal Frame looks awesome, but I can't find it anywhere. i will check Wally World tonight. Is part 2 better than the first one? And if so, do I have to buy the first one to better understand the second?

Halladay, what is Eternal Darkness about?

HG doesn't really have ghosts. Most survival horror games lack ghosts, truthfully. Silent Hill 4, Siren, and the Fatal Frame series are the only ones I can think of with ghosts, actually.

Fatal Frame 1 is probably better than Fatal Frame 2 but it's close.

I don't think it's too necessary to play FF1 before FF2, but I played them in order so I can't say too much in that regard.

Also, I forgot one: Obscure is a good survival horror game, but it's pretty short.

Thanks a lot guys. I think I may go the Fatal Frame route. I am not really into magic spells (Eternal Darkness) or carzy lloking monsters that no way make sense as something real (Silent Hill 3). I may try the first 2 Silent Hills as I hear they are better, but FF sounds pretty awesome right now.

Also, I guess there is a PC game coming out in October called FEAR. It is supposed to be one of the scariest games ever. The guys at EB today told me some things about it and it looked really cool. I just wanted to get something that would freak me out, and this FF sounds like my best choice. Thanks again everyone!

Anyone else have anymore games they think are scary let us know!

I wish someone would've make a Blair Witch video game. Wanna know how awesome that would be?
