Media Thoughts on Batman VS Superman?

So the movie has been out for a little while now and I am wondering what you all thought about it. Obviously a lot of people are split on how they feel about it but hopefully you watched it for yourself to make up your own decision. As for me, I enjoyed the movie. It wasn't my favorite superhero movie but I really enjoyed it. No, it wasn't really a movie that was made to be critically acclaimed, but it was one that is fun, enjoyable and definitely worth seeing in the theaters. I thought Affleck was a really good Batman and I look forward to seeing him in some movies in the future as Batman. The Christopher Nolan Trilogy are still my favorite Batman movies but this was one that I definitely thought is worth your time and money.

I get the feeling that most of the people who hate it are the same people who were convinced it'd suck the second they announced Ben Affleck as Batman.

Me? I wouldn't rank it the greatest Superhero movie ever, but it was still very enjoyable and I'd watch it again. Affleck surprised me.

Could y'all give a few hints on how a Man like Bat can beat a Man like Steel?

Superman is the equivalent of the ACR in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Overpowered and overused.

The best superman was in the first movie, he couldn't save Jonathan Kent.

I just don't feel this superman. Wonder Woman was a fun character, Batfleck is the best Batman so far.

If Lex Luthor felt Batman could kill Superman, why need Doomsday at all? Awful Luthor, but knew that as soon as Eisen-Cera was hired for the role, he could be more a Jim Carey-esque Riddler. It's not as bad as it's been universally panned, but not enough to get me excited for JL.

You didn't like this Alex Luthor? I thought he did a decent job.

No he didn't, not as Lex Luthor.

Re: Thoughts on Batman VS Superman?

I think the film did a piss poor job at developing Lex as a villain. Had nothing to do with Jesse. They jammed so much into this movie that there wasn't really any time spent to develop him into a villain. It felt like every time he was on camera he was already going through his next step in his plan, with no backstory to it.

Overall, it just felt like the whole movie was rushed. Think Affleck did just fine, and will only get better with time to develop. Solid movie, but nothing special.

I don't think it ruined the movie but I do agree about Luthor to an extent. I think the actor did a good job portraying him, it was more the development of the character that IJS pointed out that I can agree with.

Oh okay.. I understand what you are saying now and I do agree with that. I liked Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor as well though.
