RIP Peter. His history is pretty remarkable and there to read for all who are interested. On the few times I watch the news, it's almost always ABC.

holy crap. I didn't even know he had cancer! That's too bad. He was one of the only anchors that I always liked.

This is a sad day but I can promise you his family is relieved. My Father died of Lung Cancer earlier this year and it was brutal watching his last days. I felt such a sense of relief after he was not suffering anymore, obviously I was very upset and I still am as I miss my dad immensely but I did not want to see him go through that anymore and I would bet Peter's family felt the same way. I wish them all the best.

That's really too bad and I wish the best to his family and friends as they mourn his loss.

RIP. I really enjoyed watching him on the nightly news and the many ABC specials. He was always eloquent and poised, even in times of crisis. He will be missed.

I didn't like him because he would cringe upon hearing Bush's name...but he was a good reporter, albeit biased.

They are all biased and political biases really suck in what should be fair news reporting.

As a news anchor though, he was normally very professional in his approach and delivery and that was what I used to like about him.

You want a better reason to quit smoking than just some newscaster dying of lung cancer?
