My weekend Netflix catch up movies were "Horns" with Daniel Radcliffe, in one word...weird. The other was the Biblical epic "Noah" with Russell Crowe, in a word...CRAP!

Just watching the Spectre trailer where Bond scrambled across the rooftop of a building and then barely held on to the edge as the rest of the building collapsed behind him, and then remembering the premonition at the beginning of Final Destination 5 (it was on TNT over the weekend), I just think I would love to see a 007 and Final Destination crossover where he cheats getting impaled or dismembered until a piano falls on him from the sky or something stupid.

I just watched The Intern (yeah, I know, married life, lol)

Anyway, I love the irony of how the movie tries to push a bit of a feminist view when all the while if the gender roles were reversed in pretty much any Hollywood movie of the same genre Ann Hathaway's character would be painted as the bad guy who focuses more on his work than he does on his wife while the wife would be feeling left out and pushed into the arms of another man. The only question would be whether the man is outright heartless and we're pushed to root for her to get away from him to the man she's cheating on him with or she'd get close to cheating on him but not go through with it until he learns a valuable lesson and hires the CEO so that he can focus more on his family because that's what really matters.

X-Men: Apocalypse was bad. Not as terrible as the critics say, and not to the level of Last Stand, it just wasn't a good movie.

    I liked it.

Of course, I'm fairly easy to please at the theater because I never try to be a critic.

I'd just like it to focus on more than just Mystique, Xavier and Magneto.

Apocalypse was more of a Shadow King type villain, and his horseman were bland and didn't really pose much of a threat, especially when he was just looking for the strongest. There was a lot wrong with it, and that's not even coming from a comic nerd/fanboy perspective. Plenty of fun stuff in it too, like the Quicksilver scene which is kind of more of the same from DOFP, but still fun and some of the deaths were cool, especially in the opening scene with Apocalypse's guard twisting people up.
