Here's a rant I made in another forum around the same time this thread was posted.

Ok, I absolutely hate this kind of plot device and TV shows and movies use it all the time.

Obviously the Governor is hiding something. We know this because they use all the typical tell tale signs of a shady character and we saw them mass murder all the National Guard people and then lie to the citizens.

But....Michonne didn't see any of this. She has absolutely no indication on why they shouldn't trust him, yet from the second they set foot into the area she's convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that they're hiding something sinister, and something so sinister that they're better off taking their chances out in the open than to stick around.

Then it just becomes a matter of finding things out based off this random mistrust born out of nothing.

It's nothing but a convenient plot device so that the secret eventually finds surface.

I'm bringing this up again because, fast forward to the most recent season (of which I'm halfway through now) and they've found themselves in another colony behind walls living normal-ish lives away from the walkers and the outside. (At least until stuff goes to crap, of course)

But this time right as they come into Alexandria and are introduced to this group with an equal lack of any kind of information to base it on Michonne is ready to throw all of her trust into the group? And of course (barring any kind of swerve in the latter half of this season that probably wouldn't make any sense to me) these are actually mostly good people, so her baseless instinct is once again proven right.

She must be some kind of soothsayer or secretly from the planet Betazoid.

The comic is better, but the show is way better than Fear TWD. That show is a mess.
