I read the first 3 (maybe first 4, don't remember...don't care) books back in the late 90's. I didn't like main characters getting killed as much as I disliked the continual introduction of new characters, new plotlines, and the lack of resolution or reasonable continuance of the old plotlines. If I recall, GRRM still hasn't finished the series. Just keeps going on and on and on. Fuck that. I hear the HBO series has been compressing and deviating and I am all for that. Fuck that "stay accurate to the books!" bullshit. In most cases I agree with that, but not for these books.

It's not so much that GRRM "goes on and on" as much as it is him just not fucking writing. The complaints I saw were of one episode in which an entire arch happened that was just non-existent in the books. It's not so much that people demand he stay accurate (read: as far as I'm concerned), as much as "where the fuck did this come from? DID I MISS SOMETHING WHEN I READ THOSE 4,600 PAGES?!"

Also, I don't know how you could read multiple of the ASOIAF books and not finish. Every chapter I either think "Holy shit, that was awesome, I need to continue" or "Well, that was okay, I guess, but the next one's definitely gonna be better, I gotta keep going." (For context, I'm halfway through book five).

Another season of Game of Thrones off to a ridiculous start. All men must die should have been the tag line from the very start

I am so disappointed about Dracula, it was really good.


OUAT Wonderland, they should have stuck with using that story line in the main show of Once Upon A Time..............only on American TV would
