Might be the best thing I"ve heard them do. Not a big fan of the band and the only song that was ever memorable to me was The Red, but this song is really fuckin' cool. I liked it the first time I heard it and turn it up if I ever hear it on the radio. I may have to check out the rest of their latest album

My opinion is probably biased since they're my favorite band, but I've really enjoyed the newest album. Hunter Eats Hunter and Under the Knife are my two favorites on it.

Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?

Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83 I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically.

The whole album has a clear, crisp sound and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.

He's been compared to Elivs Costello. But I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

In '87 Huey released this, Fore. Their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is Hip to be Square. A song so catchy most people probably don't listen to the lyrics, but they should! Because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trend. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.

I only listened to Gunman and Hunter Eats Hunter and one other song, can't remember what it was called. I liked both of the first two quite a bit.. Gunman really sticks in my head for some reason. The only Chevelle album I ever bought was the one with The Red on it (2nd album, I think?) back when I was still DJ'ing. I am seriously considering picking up this new one though. Will have to listen to them all first but I'm leaning towards a purchase.

The song's lyrics have a meaning that's actually pretty apropos in light of recent events in California.

The Red was on Wonder What's Next, which was their 2nd album, but the first one I heard.
