Lol! Barely! It's 7 miles from the heart of go-town to 275, you've got to be at least 2 miles from there right,

As nice as that is, it was even better when the Rays held ST here, they worked out in Feb. at the Namoili complex in ST Pete. Support for them was so bad in those days there were many times I was the only one there, but it was nice having the team to myself. They still hold extended spring there for the minor leaguers and rehabbing players but there are more crowds now of course.

Oh, gosh, where to begin …..well a personal one of course was Toby Hall. He was a top prospect in the 2000‘s, named BA‘s top AAA player in 2001, he was among the IL leaders in all categories that year. Was touted to be one of those few offensively explosive catchers and just never really got it going and then once he injured his shoulder he never really recovered. I get to see him though quite often , another one that lives in my town and he is a really nice guy.

Monetarily, it would be P Matt White, Giants fans might remember him as the 1996 draft pick that agent Boras finagled into making a FA, the Rays paid him a signing bonus of $10.2 million. He was beset with injuries and never played in the Majors.

In the heartbreak category even though I wouldn’t say they weren’t worth a damn was the dream outfield of Crawford, Baldelli and Hamilton that never came together. Given CC’s extraordinary career as a Ray, Baldelli’s awesome start before his illness and what Hammer has done in the past few seasons, I am convinced it would have lived up to the hype had bad luck and demons not gotten in the way.

A team disappointment was the “Hit Show”, Fred McGriff, Jose Canseco, Greg Vaughn, and Vinny Castilla, paying a fortune in Rays dollars for what amounted to (if memory serves) 39 games played together due mainly to injuries to all but Crimedog. The worse part was the crippling affect it had on payroll for several years.

The most recent disappointment Pat Burrell. After all the production for him to just mail it in was pretty aggravating.

    Guess Leo lied.

What I appreciate about Chevelle is that they absolutely sucked on Vena Sera. It's boring, not bad, just bland really. But they didn't rest on that path and came back with two albums that were better.

Yeah. They were kinda bland with that one, even with I Get It being in my list of their best songs.

But they definitely bounced right back with the next two.

Vena Sera was the first album with the new bassist. I wonder if that had something to do with it.

Maybe I'm the only one, but how in the hell do you post links for individual OOTP players? I use firefox and can't seem to find a direct link.

When you open the link for the player, open it in a new tab. The true link will show. Otherwise, right click and copy link.

I use Safari and sometimes Chrome, and I haven't really had any problems ever.

Then again, I haven't had any problems since I got a Mac.
