    Thumbs Up New Music..

I really need some new jams.. Anybody got any suggestions? I like basically just about everything.. Mostly Hip Hop and R & B but I will listen to anything if I'm in the mood for it. So lets hear it.. What are some good new songs?

I guess this could be used in the future too..? Post new music here. Sounds good to me!

Just went to a Lupe Fiasco concert.. Really enjoyed it. He put on a great show and I am digging his new stuff.

I know his new album is catching some flak from some people but from what I have heard; I really enjoy it.

What are your feelings on his new album Hammer?

Also, anybody else got some new jams?

    Re: New Music..

i didnt hate it, it was different. lupe is what he normally is lyrically, and thats profound. the beats and the hooks went pretty much fully away from hip hop bangers, and more pop built. his lyrical style, the things he raps about and the political agenda he can get occasional, needs deeper, less club beats to me... and i couldve done without the autotune on a couple of the tracks. that said, there were a couple keeper tracks, and overall i can still listen to the album as a whole occasionally, i just need to be in a more upbeat mood, because thats the type of album it is. like state run radio is the perfect example of this album... he wants to spread a message, yet get play in the clubs at the same time. which is fine by me, make your money however you can... but thats probably why it gets flak. lyrically, hes looked at like he should be in the kweli, mos, common category... but his beats ''sell out'', which is a term i despise, but whatever.

itll end up branching him further away from rap fans, and closer to pop fans. which like i said, will get him paid.

    Good read.

Who are some of your favorite rap artists? Not mainstream rap kinda like.. Big L or Gangstarr. Maybe they are mainstream but kinda along that genre of rap.
