I am starting a thread about sequels to movies that didn't need a sequel.

The Hangover probably doesn't need one but Ill be a sheep and go watch it anyways when it come out.

In general, if a movie came out, oh lets say, 24 years ago, it probably doesn't need a sequel or it should have already had one. The only exception is Wall Street simply because its main character was in jail for 20 years.

If its been longer than 20 years since the original came out, a sequel is probably closer to a remake than a sequel.

Wall Street didn't need a sequel and neither do a lot of these movies. Watch Willow 2 come out or a shitty remake. Transformers definitely didn't need a sequel. As we speak, a Very Brady Sequel is on

LTR strikes me as the type that doesn't think anything needs a sequel.

I don't mind sequels if they make sense. Transformers was a reach if I've ever seen one. The Nolan Batman series has been great and I liked the X-men sequels. Godfather 1 and 2 were good and of course all the horror movie sequels just make me laugh.

Scarface. But it would've been nice to see the fate of Alex Sosa. Independence Day, too.

I can pretty much tell you that Top Gun 2 will be garbage. Who wants to see a 50 year old Maverick? No word on whether Val "Iceman" Kilmer will return either. And, for the love of all that is good and right, PLEASE do not have Kelly McGillis come back.

I found it to be terrible and a reach. A lot of my friends thought the same and we're all pretty good movie buffs. I am excited to see the Jackass 3-D though I didn't think the Matrix needed a sequel either. I thought it stood up on its own and I wasn't really a big fan of the movie.

The last two things Val did was provide the voice of KITT in the failed Knight Rider tv show and be the bad guy in MacGruber. What does that tell you???

Ohh, maybe they'll adapt the part from the video game where the refueling plane just goes away, as if to say "f*** him!" and leaves you out to die.

From what I've heard, Anthony Edwards will reprise his role as Goose, albeit as a ghost. J/K

In fact, pretty much everyone that was in the first one is available for the second one.
