Fall 2010 Television Season

Here are the big changes:

• "Parks and Recreation" is off the air until winter 2011.
• "The Big Bang Theory" is moving to Thursdays at 8 p.m., going head-to-head with "Community."
• "Survivor" is moving to Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
• "30 Rock" is moving to Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.
• "Shit My Dad Says" is going head-to-head with "30 Rock," Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.
• "Outsourced" looks terrible, but gets the post-Office slot on Thursdays at 9:30 p.m.

I love 30 Rock (neck and neck with P&R), but with CBS competing for laughs on Thursday, I think's dead. Community is not a strong lead-in program and I don't think a 2.3 or 2.4 in the demo from 30 Rock is enough, unless NBC continues to ratings bomb into next season.

Saw a trailer for Shit My Dad Says. Oof. Doesn't look too promising. I'll probably give it three or four episodes, but I don't know if this'll be very funny.




However, we will be getting a new sitcom on CBS from the creator of The Big Bang Theory (Chuck Lorre) called "Mike and Molly" about a couple who meet at an Overeaters Anonymous reunion. I'm expecting a ton of self-deprecating fat jokes, so it's probably worth tuning in.

I watch it at the same time either way due to my work schedule.

The only thing that affects me is what day it airs.

CBS eyes new comedy 'Mad Love' for midseason

CBS is close to rounding out its comedy lineup for the 2010-11 season by offering a 13-episode commitment to the multi-camera comedy Mad Love from Matt Tarses (Worst Week) and Sony Pictures TV, EW has learned. The show, which is also executive produced by former ABC entertainment president Jamie Tarses, is about four friends in New York – two of whom fall for one another. The sitcom stars Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) and Jason Biggs (American Pie) and will likely bow midseason.

The network already ordered two sitcoms for fall: Mike and Molly, a relationship comedy from Chuck Lorre (Two and A Half Men, The Big Bang Theory) that will air Mondays at 9:30 p.m., and Sh*! My Dad Says, a laugher from David Kohan and Max Mutchnick (Will & Grace) that will air Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

RUBICON starts tonight. Guess I'll watch it given all the good reviews. And also The Walking Dead in the fall because zombies are pretty cool, unlike vampires and werewolves.
