    Re: My Growing Hat Collection

Some sweet Lids.com coupons for anyone looking to get some hats.

    OCT09LIDS10

10% off plus free shipping on $25 or more

    OCT09LIDS20

20% off plus free shipping on $65 or more

    Both are valid until 10/31.

The 2nd one works for sure because I used it last night. I got these 2 hats (they'll be part of my Christmas presents from my grandmother).

New Era MLB Gray Tone hats at lids.com

New Era 59Fifty AC Flipdown hats at lids.com

$33.99 + $35.99 = $69.98 plus whatever the shipping would have been (probably at least $5). The order came to $56 flat with that 20%/free shipping coupon.

    Re: My Growing Hat Collection

Any new hats for the holidays?

As part of a post-holiday splurge I bought 2 items for my hats:

    neweracap.com: Cap Brush

To clean my hats (get that dust and cat hair off of the ones that weren't in storage).

    neweracap.com: 6-pack Cap Carriers

I have 3 of these (2 black, 1 camo), but they only hold 6 caps. They have this now (holds 24):

    neweracap.com: 24-pack Cap Carrier

All of my hats will be stored away from the dust and cat hair. I am up to 40 hats now. I've got 18 in the 3 carriers and 22 that need to go in the new 24-pack carrier when it arrives.

    Re: My Growing Hat Collection

I got a new Reds cap which I am digging. I actually didn't have a cap like the newer home caps, and even though this is slightly different, it definitely fills the void.

Good idea on the carriers BTW.

    Re: My Growing Hat Collection

I got the Brooklyn and St Louis hats as presents. The other 2, I picked up since I last updated this thread. I also picked up an old suitcase from a threft store that I keep them all in. But I think I may pick up 2 of the 6 hat carriers, those are nice.

    Re: My Growing Hat Collection

Here is an updated picture. My new 24-hat carrier / storage case came today. You can see it in the back along with the other three 6-hat carriers. There are 41 if you count the winter hat that is shown in the new carrier. Otherwise, 40 different fitted hats (New Era and American Needle...mostly NE). Some of the ones that look like duplicates have WS patches and some are the older model of the game hats, but trust me...no two are exactly alike. I'm done for a long time now BTW, too.

Nice. I really need to increase my funds so I can waste some more money on hats. I don't have nearly enough.

I've been throwing a little from each pay aside, and buying one a month. That way I still got money for the priorities. Beer, rent, cable, food. In that order to.

It's been a while, and well. Tax return was good, so I got 2 from that, and than used some of my own set aside money for the other two. My goal now is to have one for every current major league team, be they current or old. Washington doesn't get one, I still weep for Montreal.

At first, I thought this was about a collection of hats that grow.

Digging all those Fos. The Orioles hat is pretty sweet.

I will probably have to pick up the Reds hat too. Ha.
