Great year in music for me

New Green Day album already out, kicks ass

New Third Eye Blind album out in a few weeks.

New Chevelle album out in a month.

New Creed album out later this year. (Yeah, I know, shut up they rock)

The only thing that would make it better would be if the Red Hot Chili Peppers quit talking about getting back together and actually did.

    New 3EB, eh?

Out of the Vein was pretty diappointing, hopefully this one will be better.

I was kind of disappointed with Out of the Vein as well. It had some pretty good songs (Faster, Crystal Baller, Misfits, and Forget Myself mainly) but some of the other ones weren't all that great.

Still, their overall collection is good enough for me to throw them in to the mix, especially since it's been 6 years since their last one. (Out of the Vein)

Great week in music for me.

Green Day Monday night, best concert I've ever been to.
Green Day Tuesday night, 2nd best.
    AC/DC tonight.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Forget Myself still finds it's way into some of my playlists. The rest of the album just kinda was forgetable to me.

Ugh, Ursa Major is a big disappointment.

Nothing like their style in the self titled album or Blue which were both great, and not even like the good songs on Out of the Vein.

It's all a bunch of soft melodies.

Good thing it was only 4 bucks on Amazon.com.

I've been pretty satisfied with Dredg, Skillet and Chevelle's latest CDs, and Breaking Benjamin's Dear Agony will be out at the end of the month and I'm excited for that one.

Re: Great year in music for me

my g/f got me this for our 3-year anniversary.

Amazon.com: Sounds of the Universe Deluxe Box Set (3 CDs/DVD/2 Books): Depeche Mode: Music

pretty cool. it has the main album, a disc with b-sides and remixes, a disc with 14 demos from various albums, and a DVD that has some films (making of and 2 other films) and the entire album in 5.1 surround mix (including the b-sides). It also has 2 hard cover books of art, photos, and lyrics. A poster, some art cards, and a couple enamel, metal pins.

I know that it was on sale for $75, so that's not too bad considering all the stuff it comes with. The other thing that would have made it complete for me would have been a vinyl copy as well.

The only other box set like this that I have is Radiohead - In Rainbows (2 CDs, double 180 gram vinyl, bound lyric booklet, another 12 x 12 art booklet, and a bunch of digital extras on the 2nd CD (it has 8 bonus songs as the audio portion).
