The only ones I've seen that were released this year are The Uninvited and My Bloody Valentine 3D
I'd recommend both, although I'd only recommend the latter if you like good 3D effects, as the storyline/plot is rather corny.
I'm going to go watch Taken tomorrow.

Nothing that piques my interest has come out so far, unless you count Gran Torino which didn't go into wide release until '09.

Friday the 13th wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The fact that Jason runs in the movie sort of kills it for me.

Taken's probably the only thing I have some interest in that's out right now/I haven't seen. I'll probably see Watchmen, if I can get my hands on the graphic novel before then.

Yea i really want to see Taken. The TV show in my opinion was horrible, but this movie looks good.
Are you talking about the show on Scifi that was about aliens, even though the movie is about Liam Neeson kicking people's asses?

i figured they were related. i guess not haha. yea, the show was about aliens and it was just god awful. i know steven spielberg had something to do with the show, and i saw his name in the movie trailer so i figured they were connected.

I saw Friday The 13th on the opening midnight show, and it wasn't too bad. Of course, if I was sitting at home watching it(as opposed to with 60 high school kids, who reacted to everything), I would've probably been highly disappointed.
Was definately more intrested in seeing The International though. Clive Owen is my hero.
