I saw The Soloist with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. and I highly recommend it. 4 out of 5 stars.

I've been to the movies only once this year, and that was taking the girlfriend to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. Honestly, as much as I'll be criticized for this, it was not terrible. There were moments that were entertaining and funny(but overall corny and not worth 11 dollars). I'll give it a 1.5-2 stars out of 5.

The next movie I plan to see is Earth, just because it looks intriguing, and I have a major interest in that National Geographic/Animal genre....even though I doubt it will be worth the money either...

I waited to rent the Rocket. That was a surprisingly good movie.

    No excuse for seeing GoGP.

I saw Star Trek and it was phucking phenomenal.

    Watchmen - 2.5 out of 4
    I Love You, Man - 2.5 out of 4
State of Play - 3.5 out of 4
    Star Trek - 3.5 out of 4
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

It was "phucking phenomenal" yet only gets a 3.5 out of 4?

Yeah there were definite minor complaints but it was a lot of fun. Not perfect.

Saw Angels and Demons last night - 2 out of 4 stars. Honestly, a good deal of the problem is in the material being adapted to the big screen, as Tom Hanks has to talk about everything and explain it in depth. But there were plenty of implausible things figured out within seconds in a National Treasure style - I understand they don't have enough time to do everything in depth. But plenty of parts had ME shrugging my head...and I read the book recently. Stellan Skarsgaard (Bootstrap Bill from Pirates of the Caribbean) is a nice bright spot and the movie looks great, especially considering they couldn't film in the Vatican. Only worth a rental though.
