I caved in to the pressure and got one of those artificial poppies that you pin to your shirt. Everyone's wearing them around town, it's madness. But a good show of support, I guess.

As a vet... I don't care if you have a trinket... I don't care if you make a thread... I don't care if you go to an event...

All I care is that you remember my military brothers and sisters... knowing we were and are there for you and your freedoms... don't take them lightly.. remember what the founding fathers set forth for us and what they intended, and realize why that is worth defending with your life

From the Boer, to WWI, WWII, Korea, the UN Peace Keepers, and on to Afghanistan. A true mark of remembrance for Canada.

Both of my grandfathers were military, and I always were my poppy.

I have a couple of vets for relatives so I have high regard for those to fight for our Country. Even if some of the situations, are ill-advised.
