No you don't. Before, it was like this: "I am going out. Be home later." "Okay." Now my parents call me every minute to find out where I am.

And this is my phone. Dont like T-mobile because it has sucky ringtones. I want the Imperial March.

if you're under 18, you don't need a damn cell phone.

I really don't like T-Mobile...it goes out in the middle of the city for no apparent reason.

Yes actually you kinda do. I got my first one (been through 3 so far for upgrades) when I was 12, I actually needed it more then instead of now. I used to be out all day to the park, riding bikes and whatever and my mom would check up on me, tell me to go home, or whatever. Before that I used walkie talkies and one time in which I wont go into detail with, it didn't work when I really needed it the most, so the cell phone became needed.

If your about 11 or under, it's probably not needed, just depends what you do in your spare time.

It's been really usefull for me. Much easier to keep in touch with parents and let them know what is going on. Also when out and trying to get ahold of friends.

How in the world do you have internet access, then? I heard something about using cellphones for net access, but it's probably really slow, right? Expensive? Who do you use for your cell phone provider? My wife and I are thinking about getting one again. If we could get rid of our landline, we would.

Please allow me to add to that. If you're not one of the following, then a law needs to be set so that you can't use a cellphone in restaurants or any other business.

    - cop
    - fireman
    - security officer

I get so sick of these cell phone abusers showing up everywhere and flaunting their conversation. Am I jealous? Nope, not all all. I had a Cingular cellphone a couple of years ago, and had no desire to flaunt the fact that I had a cellphone. If those "jammers" were any cheaper, I'd get one and just follow cellphone users around until they stopped using their phone.

People that go to Barns & Noble are the WORST! I mean, do I really have to listen to some ***** have a conversation like this?

"Hey, I am in the book aisle".

"I'm not sure what book to get."

"Oh, that one? Are you sure?"

"We have to make a decision here, that book or this one".

"This book? Okay, I'm going up to the counter to pay for it".

"Okay, I am the counter, sure I use our debit card or credit card?"

"Are you sure there is enough money in the checking account?"

"Okay, I'll use the debit card."

"What would you like for supper?"

"Okay, I am going to McDonald's right now, I'm almost out to the car".

"Honey, do you know where I left my keys?"

Now, I've not heard any conversation to that extreme, but most of them are downright stupid. Just before my wife and I moved from Massachusetts, we were in one of those "Christmas Tree Shoppe" stores in Springfield, MA. There was this stupid girl (probably 18-20 years old) and we overheard (well, if I can hear a conversation that is 10 ten feet away loud and clear, then it ain't "overhearing", LOL!) her (mind you, it was around October) say to someone on her cellphone. "There is a big snowstorm here". She had a New England accent, and it was NOT snowing at all. Nor was there a forecast for snow. I kid you not.
