Deadwood is a crock (recommend better?)

Man, I just finished watching season 3 today only to find out they canceled the show and there won't be a season 4. I am highly dissapointed. This was a great show.

So now I have to find a different show to rent. Please reccomend only the best. Tell me what your favorite TV show is and why. Convince me to get it.

Smallville and Law & Order

LOST at times can be so good that I wish I could sleep through the entire week to awake for the next episode.

Seinfeld; I have seen a lot of it. It's good, but nothing I would want to watch a lot of. Smallville doesn't ineterst me at all. Too fake for me. I could deal with a Superman movie, but not a whole season of fakeness. Law and Order is real good. I usually catch that at night with the wife anyway.

Is Lost that good? Paul Daugherty was on the radio making fuin of it. He made it sound like it was more like Star Trek than anything else. I mean, are these guys just off teh wall with some of their writing?

Some I may be interested in but need to know more about:

24 (yep, I have never watched a single episode)
The Wire
Friday Night Lights
Entourage

And I am open to other suggestions as well.

House; I have heard a lot of good things about this as well. Pretty good comedy from a quick witted doctor, right? How is the drama in this though?

Cold Case? Never really thought about this one. Is it kind of like a Law and Order vibe?

I don't have HBO, but Entourage is really really funny from what I've seen of it. Definitely worth a shot

Breaking Bad - great dark comedy/drama with drugs
Weeds - great dark comedy/drama with drugs
Heroes - come on
The Office - great comedy
Friday Night Lights - good drama, characters are stupid though yet i like it
Numb3rs - another police drama with Judd Hirsch as a side character
