    Games MLB 08 The Show

Great game...I can pitch very, very well, and for once my Dave Ryan is on my team, not controlled by Zito.

Although, in one game, since the minors team I play for sucks, I ended up giving up 10 runs. Take that out and my ERA is 1.25.

    With it, it's 5.75.

Anyway, I suck at hitting. Why the hell is it so hard to pick up?

I play on PS3, graphics are actually way better than I thought.

I have it for the PS3 as well. What difficulty do you play it on? I didn't play it yesterday. I like it a lot better than 2K8.

    I played on Veteran.

I rape at 2k8, but I wanted to try the Show. I'm still only at veteran.

MLB 08 seems to be fairly realistic.

I'm 2 games into my season now

In game 1 I beat the Astros 2-1, recorded 11 hits, Jake pitched 7 scoreless innings and got a ND.

    In game 2 I lost 1-0

    Here's Chris Young's final line

I'll probably sim some games as I go, but I'm playing my first 5 at least so I can use my starting 5.

Mark Prior is completely healthy in the game and rates pretty high. He's my next starter.

I play my first 20 appearances, then sim the next month.

Minors and crappy players are boring

I'll play a minor league game every now and then, but otherwise I sim all of those.

Just got done with my 3rd game.

Mark Prior went 6 innings giving up only 2 runs. 5 Ks, 3 BBs and the W

Kouzmanoff hit a 2 run HR followed by a solo shot by Josh Bard.

Rocco Baldelli (who I traded for) was robbed of a home run.

Brought in Trevor for the save in the 9th inning and they played Hell's Bells.

Well, they started to anyways. Only heard the opening bells.

I also like that after you get one out with him they play another bell like for real.

And when Kouzmanoff comes to bat in PetCo the fans chant "Kooooooooz"

Once I get a long enough cord to connect my PS3 (in my room) to my router (in the living room) I'll start playing online

I don't know if will play online since the games take some time and it would suck if someone bounced in the last inning.

I can play online but I typically don't play sport games online. As the noob I am I don't play on anything higher than Rookie just because I like to rule all. I'll change it to Vet and see how much of a difference it is.

I played someone online last night and I didn't care for it. The connection was awful and I couldn't get a good swing going. It was really annoying.

    Re: MLB 08 The Show

I was going to go either rent it or purchase it on Friday for the PS3, we then got about a foot of snow, so that hope was over.

    Next weekend then. :-/
