iPod trouble

Today, I'm at the gym on the treadmill listening to a playlist, the playlist ends, so I start it over. The damn thing skips through all of the songs and brings me back to the main menu. I tried to play any music and it doesn't work. After that the whole thing froze up, the backlight is on, it won't let me scroll or anything, and it won't let me turn it off. I plug it into my car and it won't read it or anything and when I plug it in to my computer or charger it won't even charge so in a few hours it will be dead. This pisses me off, I just got it in March and I've never had a problem before, but now this shit happens. Anyone got any idea what to do?

If it's frozen try this: slide the hold button to on then off and then press and hold both the menu button and the play button till the Apple logo it appears, it usually takes a few seconds.

Nope. Nothing. It doesn't even read that I turned hold on.

It happened to me once, I just charged it and let it alone for some times, and it worked for me.

Anyone know why my iTunes constantly skips? Like as in, every second, to the point where I can't even listen to it.

Have you tried filling your sink with water, putting the ipod in and washing it with soap? Gets the skipping right out!

And I don't know if my laptop is going to fit in the sink. Is it ok to use the bathtub?

Do you have a lot of stuff running at the same time or have something uploading at the same time as you listen?

Negatory. All I have is Firefox and AIM.

If I play anything in WMP it works fine so it's obviously and iTunes problem.

This is of absolutely NO consolation or comfort, but I'll say this:

1) iTunes blows goats
2) Apple sucks
3) iPods suck because of #1 and #2


I can't tell you how many people I've heard that have had problems with their iPods, most are right at about that year to 15 month mark. Considering these things cost hundreds of dollars and don't run for more than a year without breaking, I don't see the point. Also, I don't see the point or need for putting 20,000 ****ing songs on a portable music device. Can you say "overkill"!?

Anytime something skipped on iTunes for me, was because something long and tedious was downloading.
