2013 version of movies you've seen thread

Dark Skies wasn't bad. Wasn't great either. Predictable twist.

in the last 2 weeks I've seen the following:

1) World War Z - liked the story, liked the twist, zombies were ok...

2) The Lone Ranger - (meh, liked it better when it was called pirates of the Caribbean)

3) Pacific Rim - liked it better than I thought I would....


In order I'd go 3, 1, 2

Add me to the seen Pacific Rim list. Enjoyed it, and the nods to ID4 were awesome. It wasn't as great as ID4, but not many are imo. Still definitely well worth the price of admission.

Saw The Wolverine yesterday. Remarkable how much better James Mangold's direction revamped things. Excellent except for butchering The Silver Samurai (i kept looking for a Stark logo). Their iteration of Viper was impressive, though

IIRC, the only movies I've seen in theaters this year are GI Joe Retaliation, 42, and The Conjuring.

Not sure if it came out in 2013, but I watched 21 & Over the other night.

Pretty much what I expected. Another dull superbad wannabe.
