    Bet between BuckFoston and Hwood

Just so you know, BuckFoston has a bet with HollywoodLeo on a football game for this weekend. So if you see either of these two guys wearing a ridiculous avatar for the next month, now you'll know why.

I hate to sound overconfident because I think it's going to be close, but do you really think they can't win?

I mean, it's not as though they're 6 point favorites playing at home after already having beat them once while riding a 6 game winning streak or anything.

After watching Phillip Rivers all season, no I don't think they can win.

Rivers hasn't stopped them from winning 6 in a row, or 10 of the last 12.

What makes their chances in the next game with him at QB any different?

Re: Bet between BuckFoston and Hwood

Do they play by different rules and with different rosters in the playoffs?

And you think Tennessee's going to be any better with Kerry Collins or an injured Vince Young?

There's 52 players on a roster, 22 starters, Philip Rivers only accounts for one of those.

This is the NFL not the QB Challenge

If Rex Grossman and Trent Dilfer can "win" games in the playoffs I fail to see why Philip Rivers can't.

As long as San Diego has LT on their roster. They will win.

Re: Bet between BuckFoston and Hwood

I think Vince Young at 80% is better than Phillip Rivers. We know Young can handle pressure and from what I've seen the opposite can be said about Rivers. Grossman and Dilfer played in the weak NFC. And don't be a ****ing idiot and ask if the rules are different in the playoffs!! Everyone knows its a totally different animal in the playoffs but if you are the exception then so be it. You like the Chargers chances, I don't since the QB means a lot this time of year. What do Eli Manning and Phillip Rivers have in common besides being traded for each other? They both tank when the heat is on!

Re: Bet between BuckFoston and Hwood

The flaw in your line of thinking is that it's not a battle between Philip Rivers and Vince Young, it's a battle between the San Diego Chargers and the Tennessee Titans.

You're free to your opinion, but this entire back and forth started with the insinuation that I'm being foolish to have mine.

"He actually thinks they can win?!"

Can people not quote anyone correctly anymore? No wonder the media is so ****ed up. Can't get a straight quote. QB's are the most important guys on the field and to win anything you need a good one. A good coach never hurt either.

The Ravens sure needed a good QB in 2000, right?

How bout the Bucs in 2002?

    The Bears in 1985?

    The Bears last year?

And, by the way, Dilfer wasn't playing in the "shitty" NFC when he was "winning" games in the playoffs.

Re: Bet between BuckFoston and Hwood

And how did Rivers get a reputation for "choking under pressure" anyways?

Because the Chargers lost a playoff game to the Patriots last year where pretty much everyone on the entire team played like crap?
