    Zach Braff vs. Jason Bateman

It's like a fishercat or missionhockey orgasm...

    The Ex
Plot Summary: Tom Reilly (Zach Braff) and his wife Sofia (Amanda Peet) are in for some major changes now that they have a newborn. As a lawyer, Sofia has always provided a comfortable living while Tom has contributed love, support and the occasional paycheck. When Sofia decides to be a stay-at-home mom all that changes.

Tom moves the family to Ohio to work for his father-in-law (Charles Grodin) as an 'Assistant Associate Creative' for "Sunburst Communications." His boss Chip (Jason Bateman) happens to still carry a torch for Sofia from their high school days. Each time Tom gains some ground at the firm, Chip wheels in and steals his thunder. Dirty tricks and sabotage abound creating an atmosphere of fierce paranoia that eventually threatens Tom and Sofia's relationship.

Chip will stop at nothing to see Tom defeated while no one but Tom can see Chip for the evil genius he is. Through it all Tom's esteem is depleted, his manhood challenged (by a surprisingly large adversary) and h'’s watching his family slip away.

Believe it or not, I came online to ask Fish about whether or not he's seen the trailer yet. I heard about the plot a while ago, but I really didn't track it's development or pick up on the fact that Bateman is in a wheelchair. I still wish Bateman would of scored The Heartbreak kid like he was attached to play before Stiller.

    Spooky.

I don't know if the topic question was rhetorical or not but Jason Bateman>Zach Braff. But Zach still gets a lot of respect for Scrubs. Even though the writers have been trying their best since season 2 to make him as flambouyant as possible. And I can stomach Garden State.

I saw the trailer a few days ago. I have a bad feeling about it, since combining those two with Amanda Peet (who I do like as an actress) should make a great movie. It just looks kind of...dumb. I don't know, I may go see it or buy the DVD, but the lead actors in two of the best comedies of the last ten years should do better than what looks to be a not-so-amazing movie. I could be wrong though, but the idea seems cliched to me (a likeable main character with a new rival who outperforms him despite a handicap and who has an evil side only the main character can see). We'll see. I may see it simply for Braff and Bateman.

Aye, did someone seriously say, with a straight face that anyone is > Zach Braff?

    Alright dude.

Bateman was in Rushmore which is a better movie than anything Braff has been in. You can't argue that. Scrubs is great though. Sorry if my opinion belittled the Zach Braff shrine you rub 'em out to.

It's a very good movie but it's not better than Rushmore.

If I had to rate the Wes Anderson movies, they'd be:

The Royal Tennenbaums>Life Aquatic (horribly underrated)=Rushmore>Bottle Rocket

Though I still think Bottle Rocket is pretty awesome.

Now The Royal Tennenbaums is a movie I can get behind and praise. Hell yeah.
