    Re: bands you've seen live?

I updated my list. It's in no specific order, but I listed the ones I've seen the most first:

    ours (x 7)
    nine inch nails (x 3)
tv on the radio (x 3)
    mellowdrone (x 3)
    vast (x 3)
    a place to bury strangers (x 2)
    grizzly bear (x 2)
    liars (x 2)
    stabbing westward (x 2)
    interpol (x 2)
    placebo (x 2)
David Reilly (lead singer of god lives underwater)
    apartment 26
    life of agony
    smashing pumpkins
    a perfect circle
    econoline crush
    tweaker
    elefant
    secret machines
    on! air! library!
    subtle
    muse
    silverchair
    the national
    holyf*ck
    the dreaming
    health
    dinowalrus
    radiohead
    deerhunter
    american hi-fi
    coldplay
    dropkick murphys
    lifehouse
    sevendust
    everlast
    system of a down
    green day
    live
    tricky
    aerosmith
    marilyn manson
    new found glory
    tantric

NIN was ridiculously awesome...the lights and production were insane. Parts of the setup were interactive like a Smartboard type thing where Trent or someone would interact with it. You'd have see the show to understand I guess, but that wasn't the only part of it that was cool. They then had to cancel the MA show for the following night because Trent has been battling a throat ailment. You could tell when he talked to the crowd. Well, they rescheduled it for November and I decided to get tickets to that show. It will be my third time seeing them.

I'll be seeing Radiohead for the first time on Wednesday with Grizzly Bear, who I've seen once before. I'll be seeing A Place to Bury Strangers in September for the second time and TV on the Radio in October for the third time.

I'll be cutting back this summer due to money and timing of a lot of shows, but here is what's on tap (already added to my list):

    May 7th - VAST (4th time)
June 4th - TV on the Radio (4th time) with Dirty Projectors
July 31st - Depeche Mode (for the first time!)

That's probably it. I'm passing on Fischerspooner May 11th, The National May 23rd, NIN with Jane's Addiction June 3rd, Grizzly Bear June 3rd. I saw NIN twice last year so I'm OK with passing on that. I don't want to go to Boston 2 nights in a row either for Grizzly Bear and then TVOTR.

    Re: bands you've seen live?

wow! My list is in here... I lost it ages ago... haha

Prov, question-- which incarnation of SP did you see? Just curious...

I haven't been to a concert in about.... a good year, maybe two.
Still waiting for Lifetime to come back around, since the last time was a huge disappointment. I think they might be the only band I really would like to see right now. It'd be cool to see Neil Young too. I've passed up multiple opportunities to see him live already though.

Dinosaur Jr. is coming here, and I would like to go, but it's 21+ (aka an elitest gathering for old grunge farts who still wear Mudhoney, Scratch Acid & Melvins t-shirts) and I'm 20 until July. Dinosnore jr is more like it!

I probably won't go to any shows until summer, if anything good comes around anyway.

It was March 2nd, 2000. Corgan, Chamberlain, Iha, and the chick from Hole was playing bass (I forget her name). They only announced the show a few days ahead of time, you had to go in person to buy tickets, and you could only buy two. It was this show:

    spfc.org : tour history - dates : 2000/03/02

So much Machina II crap. But still... there's a lot of good songs there, but it looks like they play a huge set too.

    How was it?
