Re: bands you've seen live?
yea, IIRC at the time they had announced that they were breaking up or whatever so it was supposed to be their last time in Providence. I'm not a huge fan, but didn't want to miss the opportunity to see them. I only have a few albums (Melancholy, Adore, greatest hits, and Zeitgeist). They were the only band that played hence the double set and encore. It was a fun and interesting show. I wouldn't go see them now though.
Re: bands you've seen live?
If you like anything they ever did, check out Siamese Dream (unless you've heard it). Probably my favorite album of that time period.
They were a special band to me as a kid... but like so many others, as I grew up they just increasingly got worse and my interest swayed.
Re: bands you've seen live?
I'm really psyching out for Chevelle right now.
It's not even the next concert I'm going to, either.

Eh, here's a few more of the favorites (off the top of my head):
Dillinger Four
The Lawrence Arms
Alkaline Trio
A Radio With Guts
None More Black
Latterman
Hot Water Music
Bear vs. Shark
I wanna see The Lawrence Arms.
off the top of my head:
Bayside(x2)
This Day and Age
Number One Fan
The Juliana Theory
Anberlin
Tokyo Rose
Valencia
The Matches
Atmosphere
Dashboard Confessional
Blueprint
Abstract Rude
I'm debating whether I should go see Bayside, New Found Glory, Set Your Goals and Shai Hulud in Houston. Only thing making me think I should go is that it's the day my brother flies in from Buffalo.
But I love three of the four bands playing..agh!

I left in all the bands I want to see live.
How is Nightmare of You live? I love that band.

Nickelback blew the roof off.
Re: bands you've seen live?
After last night I don't get all the hate towards Nickelback.
That was quite possibly the best concert I've been to.

Having seen them live as well, they are much better in person. Did they cover any Mettalica songs like they did when I saw them in Seattle?

They played the riff of Sad But True while they were shooting T-Shirts into the crowd, but other than that, no.
Re: bands you've seen live?
Its nice that they changed it up some.

They covered Friends in Low Places and Hey Man, Nice Shot (with the lead singer of Seether singing it) and an Alice in Chains song, but other than that it was nothing but their own stuff.
