People who can't follow simple instructions on an application.

For instance, when it says "date of birth (mo/day/year)" don't format your birthday as "day/month/year"

Geology teachers who have a mandatory full day field trip IN COLLEGE, make the only two opportunities to go on this trip on consecutive Saturdays, and then, when students miss said field trip, demand that those students write a 7 page paper on the time period known as "snowball earth". There isn't 7 pages worth of BULLSHIT to write about snowball earth.

It's like that pretty much anywhere but the US, but I don't care, read the damn application.

But, in the end I guess it shouldn't matter to me, it's not my passport that's being delayed because it has to be sent back to be reprocessed.

Re: The grinds my gears thread

Annoying commercials really grind my gears.

    Some examples

Any commercial where they have 4 or 5 different people all repeating the same sentence in fragments, culminating in hearing the product repeated 100 times over. (prescription drug commercials are really bad at this. Also, that commercial they constantly air in between innings on MLB.TV)

Those annoying as hell "Saved by zero" commercials

Those annoying Bud Light commercials where they tell you that Bud Light is better than other light beers because rain is easier to drink than hail.

I can go on and on with this regard.

The stupid talking Geico gecko. That obviously fake Australian accent really grinds my gears. Stick with the cavemen you ass ****s. They may have long since lost any humor value they used to have, but at least they're not annoying as ****.

Re: The grinds my gears thread

You know what grinds my gears? The fact that there really hasn't ever been a good April Fool's Day joke in all my life. What the **** is the purpose of this day? Why have my friends let me down? Why have I let my friends down? Where's Hollywood when you need them? I am twenty-five years old and not one single mind**** on what should be one of the most celebrated days. I'm not talking about some petty bullshit like "Dude, I wrecked your car!" and the ****ing thing is parked a block away. I am talking about a nation-wide ordeal. Why can't President Bush be like "Today we have had another attack on American soil. San Fernando Valley has been blown off the map thus ending all pornagraphy."? If you are doing it yto some friends, be clever with it and keep it up for the entire twenty-four hours of this fine day. It's there for a purpose people and that is what really grinds my gears.
