I watch it, and I watch the show afterwards for the Humor cause I actually like Chris Hardwick.

The "Hype" is not why I watch the show, though I think the Hype helps keep shows on TV. Thats whats sad, look at shows like Firefly and Arrested Development, there was no real hype with those and they got canned, much to the shigrin of many a fan.

I like the walking dead for the plot, the (mostly) acting, and the fact that no one is safe.

When the baseball season ends you almost never hear baseball fans collectively complaining about this annoying ongoing football season, how they're tired of hearing about it and seeing people talk about it, and how dumb the sport is.

But the second the NFL season is over and the baseball season approaches it's "OMG, baseball is so boring" "This is a wussy sport" "I'm tired of hearing about it" "Baseball sucks" and other similar drivel from a lot of football fans.

And it's kind of self centered and hypocritical because what other professional sports league gets half as much coverage and attention as the NFL does during its offseason?

We're talking about a league that's considering moving its draft to a later month with the explicit purpose of positioning their offseason events so there's something to talk about during every month of the calendar year.

I'll never understand for the life of me how this benefits the person posting the video in any way.

It can't be a copyright thing or they wouldn't leave it on youtube in the first place.

It can't be to deter posting it elsewhere because you can still do that, you just can't watch it at the place it's still posted at.

So, what's the point?

99% of people I know love football and baseball equally.

Cincinnati is a much more baseball centric town than football..

does it help bring up views if the youtube page is viewed? Maybe comments? Attention?

I guess if they can't count views when it's played while embedded elsewhere that makes sense.

Although, then it becomes a complaint of egotistical idiots using it when it's not necessary.

If you have your original internet comedy skit or meme that you want to get attention for yourself, or you want to be the next Justin Bieber (musical popularity originating from YouTube videos) I can understand wanting every view counted. In this day of social media that's a way of getting yourself "out there" and known.

If you're just posting some funny scene from a movie or TV show then why the hell should you care how many people view "your" video?

(That's usually the basis of my embedding disabled complaints. I want to post some small clip of a movie or tv show in a thread and embedding is disabled)
