People who are too quick to throw the word "scam" around just because they have a bad experience with a company. It makes it extremely difficult to research the legitimacy of an organization when I have to sift through the obvious whining from people who obviously didn't know what they were doing, not to mention all the obvious planted testimonials that were blatantly obviously written by the organization itself. (Wiki answers question asking about the company and 5 replies with glowing testimonials all posted one minute later )

At cricket matches where the stewards "event staff" don't let you bring your own alcohol in and take the moral high ground by saying it's to prevent people from gettting drunk. It's bs and everybody knows it, they just want you to pay over the odds for beer inside the ground, if they were so damn committed to "stamping out drunkeness" they wouldn't sell alcohol inside the ground

When people on facebook post one word or phrase as there status such as "SHIT" or "My life is ruined " and then as soon as somebody comments on it asking them "what's wrong" they reply "pm me". Why did you put it as your status if you weren't going to tell us what was up! If you wanted to talk to one of your mates in private about something, why didn't you just PM them to start with rather then teasing us by posting a status like "SHIT" which dosen't tell us anything!

In the same regard I hate people that use FML (f*** my life) for trivial crap...

"ran out of milk for my coffee. FML"

"Traffic Jam on the way to work. FML"

You should count yourself super lucky if those are FML moments. That means you don't have true life problems.

Songs that interject statements mid-song that goes against the flow/rhythm of the song just to agree with themselves or explain the lyrics you just heard. This is usually prevalent in country songs.

An example is that song about fishing (she thinks we're just fishing). At one point he sings "...time is ticking" then, for no real reason, and not to the tune of the music, interjects "yeah, it is" agreeing with himself.

Then, towards the end of the song he adds a double whammy doing this again and insulting the listener's intelligence by interjecting after the chorus "this ain't about fishing" as if I didn't get that just by listening to the song.

I had no idea Atkins sang that song. I just hear it a lot on the radio.

My wife listens to country a lot, which means I do too.

Some of it has grown on me, though. (But not Atkins)

    I like Eric Church.

Re: The grinds my gears thread

Stupid hypocritical relationship-related BS such as this.

If I'm apologizing for something I'm not wrong for in favor of valuing the relationship that must mean that the only reason I am apologizing is to stroke my significant other's ego who apparently can't let go of the matter that I'm not wrong in so I apologize to settle the issue. In other words, somebody in the relationship is still being an egomaniac.

While I'm on the subject of stupid relationship cliche, another stupid one I hear often is "being in love means never having to say you're sorry".

Ummm, wtf? That basically says "being in love means being perfect and never making mistakes."
