I can't watch the Padres-Astros game being played in San Diego because I live 410 miles away from Houston, Texas.

Does YouTube make more money if people watch the clip directly on their site?

Don't they get more exposure if I'm able to link and play their video across the web?

Re: The grinds my gears thread

    what grinds my gears :

    1) People who post videos of themselves singing songs who are downright awful on YouTube.
    2) On the same level, people who sing songs and bullshit mumble the words because they really don't know them.
I think this stems from my friend in 1st grade not knowing the pledge of allegiance and him having to recite it every day. Mumble mumble mumble.

    3) People who say "nom nom nom" or "I can haz..." stuff like that. Annoying and retarded.

    4) People who like shows like Tim and Eric, Family Guy, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. We get it, you like in your face random "comedy". It's dumb but okay.

I guess it's okay if they like it. It's just the fact that they let you KNOW they like it by quoting it or asking everyone if they've watched it yet.

It's sad that people have made serious money from these awful abortions.

People who lump that God awful show "Tim and Eric" in the same group as Family Guy.

If you use your debit card anywhere else it shows the exact amount in your online bank account, but not gas pumps.

They only show 1 dollar and wait until it clears to display the entire amount.
That's because using your debit card at a pump is not a pin purchase.

When you enter your pin to make a transaction, that shows up on your account straightaway because it's considered to be in the same realm as an ATM withdrawal; i.e., instant access to your account.

Using your debit card at a pump, however, is a "credit/debit" purchase, not a pin purchase.

People who still write checks to purchase things. Since we're on the debit card subject. You know it slows down the line? You know it takes less time to swipe the card, than it is for you to pull out for pocket book, flip to your checks, commence writing, tear off the check, hand to cashier, wait for receipt, and then pack up shop.

Most of the time when I use my card I use it as a "credit" purchase (even though it takes from my account) and, therefore, don't use my pin and it shows up on my account right away with the exact amount.

Gas pump purchases are the only ones that don't show up with anything other than the 1 dollar.

The only reason I still own checks is because the ass-backwards electric company only gives three viable options for payment.

    1. Attach my bank account to their internet site (no thanks)

    2. Go through a third party company that makes me pay an extra fee in order to use my card to pay the bill over the internet. (I'm not going to pay someone for the privilege of paying someone else)

    3. Write a check and mail it.

And thanks for bringing that up because it's another thing that grinds my gears.

Why is it every company known to man can accept credit card payments over the internet without added fees except Entergy?

If not for Entergy I wouldn't even have to own checks. Or stamps for that matter.

It's cause gas pumps check if it's a real card (hence the $1 authorization). The actual charge is processed later in the station itself, I believe.
