The have to hold a session of other religious leaders and when they decide upon a new pope, they signal that by having smoke blown out of the Vatican. They then announce the new Pope.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

I have no idea. The whole process is pretty secretive from what I've heard.

I've heard a couple weeks is more like the process. He won't be buried for a about a week. The process is going to be a lot like Reagan's. His body will be on display in some place where people can walk by, etc.

I forgot the exact number, but something like 108 cardinals have to go and vote on someone to be the next pope.

Do I have any clue who will be the enxt pope? None. I don't even know any names of the candidates. I'm not very active in knowing top religous leaders.

I'm not exactly sure, but that would be most likely.

Most likely an Italian or Polish cardinal.

I hope they pick the black dude I was hearing about. I think that would be a great thing to bring relationships together a bit more.

RIP John Paul II. Don't agree with him on a lot of things, but he did a lot of good for everyone.

    R.I.P.

At least he has stopped suffering, and is in a better place.
